João Gaspar acts as Coordinator of ABNT CEE-134, the Brazilian Committee responsible for developing and adopting BIM standards in Brazil. Currently, he is finishing his PhD at FAU USP, the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design of the University of São Paulo, researching BIM project contracting for Social Housing.
As Innovation Director at totalCAD and Operations Director at EBBIM, he leads digital transformation initiatives in the AECO sector. He is a postgraduate BIM professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, SENAI/ISEP and FIA Business School.
With over 33 academic publications, 6,200+ reads on ResearchGate, and author of several technical books on SketchUp Pro, Revit, ArchiCAD, among others, published by ProBooks Editora, he has dedicated his career to BIM education and dissemination for over 26 years.

Currently, besides courses, EBBIM provides specialized consulting, implementation in public and private companies, professional certification, and BIM software development.
Coordinates the Brazilian Committee responsible for developing and adopting BIM standards for Brazil, including ABNT NBR 15965 and ABNT NBR 19650.
